ONE DAY RETREAT · LONDON · 11TH JULY 2026
A day to stop
performing and start
actually connecting.
CAIA is a structured, therapist-led day retreat for people who feel disconnected - from others and from themselves. Not a workshop. Not a networking event. Seven and a half hours of genuine group work, held safely by an accredited psychotherapist.
10AM - 5:30PM ~ 15 people ~ £130 for the day
What you actually leave with.
A clearer sense of where you hide and where you don't have to. Through body-based and reflective work, you'll locate the patterns you use to stay safe and the places where you actually feel like yourself.
01
The experience of being genuinely witnessed
Not just heard, witnessed. The structured pair and group work creates conditions for real contact, not polite conversation.
02
03
Something to take forward, not just a nice day out
A letter to your future self, take-home creative pieces, and the kind of self-awareness that doesn't dissolve on the train home.
Connection with people who showed up for the same reason. 15 people, intentionally gathered. By 5:30pm the room will not feel like it did at 10am.
04
How the day
is structured.
The day moves deliberately: inward first, then outward. Each element is sequenced so that later work lands properly. Nothing is arbitrary.
Arrival & grounding
Warm welcome, soft opening. Time to arrive before anything is asked of you.
Setting the container
Confidentiality, ground rules, and an introduction to the therapeutic frame. You'll know exactly what kind of space this is.
Embodied self-inquiry
Body-based and creative work to locate where you carry loneliness, where you feel most like yourself, and what you're bringing into the room.
Mindful lunch
Intentional seating, nourishing food, structured prompts. The first real contact with other guests. Lunch provided.
Pair connection work
Structured exercises in speaking, deep listening, and witnessing. Progressively deepening contact across the afternoon.
Group integration
Facilitated group process held by the therapist. Space for what's surfaced. The heart of the day.
Closing ceremony & departure ritual
A formal close to the group space, followed by unstructured time. The real connections often form here.
Who holds the day?
CAIA is founded by Michelle and held therapeutically by Kelly Field - one of London's most experienced Gestalt psychotherapists.
